Kybella is both a prescription medicine and an FDA-approved injectable treatment used to reduce submental fullness, or the area of excess fat that’s sometimes called a double chin. Kybella’s active ingredient is synthetic deoxycholic acid, a natural substance found in your digestive system, where it breaks down dietary fats for absorption.
